One of the best ways to make your employee platform more reflective of your organization is to add your branding.
With Brand Your Platform, you can set your platform name, enable dark mode, and customize various elements such as logos, navigation colors, and login page appearance.
In Admin settings > Platform > Brand Your Platform, the following customization options are available to System Admins:
- Platform Name
- Dark Mode
- Main Navigation, Notifications, Activity Icons & Logo
- Selected state text
- Branded Login Page
- Saving your changes
1. Platform Name
System Admin enter the name of your platform here. This name will appear alongside your logo in email notifications and your Weekly Digest.
2. Dark Mode
Enhance the user experience by enabling Dark Mode, which provides a dark interface helpful for viewing the platform in low-light conditions. To enable Dark Mode, System Admins need to check the box to "Enable Dark Mode for users across the platform".
Note: Users can adjust their preference for Dark Mode in My Preferences. It can also be set for new users in the Org-wide Preferences.
3. Main Navigation, Notifications, Activity Icons & Logo
System Admins can customize the colors and logo of your platform for both Light Mode and Dark Mode.
Note: Your logo must be in JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF or BMP format. For best results, your logo should be on a transparent background and be no larger than 248 x 248 pixels.
After uploading a logo for both light and dark modes, you can select the colors to be used for:
- Main Nav Panel background
- Main Nav Panel text
- Main Nav Panel active/hover (selected view/highlighted text)
- Activity icons (Shout-out, Birthday, Anniversary)
To set the color for a feature you’ll need to enter that color’s Hex code in the appropriate text field. For example, the shade of purple in the image below is set by entering “#7330f7”. You can use this Hex code guide for reference.
If you need help selecting a Dark Mode color based off your Light Mode color, use the Contrast Finder tool referenced in the Dark Mode section.
4. Selected state text
Here you can select the color to be used for:
- Branded accent text such as breadcrumbs in Library.
- Background color for selected text in the sub-navigation menus (the left navigation menus within a view like Teams or Library).
As above, enter the relevant Hex code in the text field provided to set your color.
5. Branded Login Page
Here you can select the background and text color for your organization's login page. Your employees will see the branded login page in one of two ways:
- For orgs that have a sub-domain URL (i.e. "https://<yoursubdomain>.jostle.us") will see their branding automatically applied to their login page.
- For orgs without a sub-domain URL will only see their branded login page after an initial login to retrieve their org info.

6. Saving your changes
When you are satisfied with all your selections, click Save Changes at the top.
If you want to reset your changes and start over, select the Reset to Default Branding button and your colors will reset to the default colors. Your logos will remain unchanged.
Notes:
- Changes to your brandification settings may wait up to 24 hours for the changes to be applied to your login page.
- Users from orgs that don’t have a sub-domain URL must enable cookies to have a branded login page.
