Before you begin, make sure you are already familiar with the following:
In addition to webpages, you can also embed forms (i.e. Microsoft Forms, Wufoo, Google Forms, JotForm, etc.) in Links view. One option this can be used for is to create a Suggestion Box for your org that lives right in your platform.
Creating a Suggestion Box
The following walkthrough describes the process using Microsoft Forms.
To embed a form create a Suggestion Box, a System Admin should:
- Open Microsoft Forms, select a template or start a new form.
- Add the title and your question(s), as makes sense for your Suggestion Box. For example you might ask people to provide feedback, suggested improvements, and their name (as an option).
- Make adjustments to the Settings and other sections as needed.
- Once you're ready with your form, click the Collect Responses button (don't worry, you won't actually be sending it anywhere).
- On the Send and Collect Responses screen, click on the Embed icon, then click on "Shorten URL" check box and finally click on Copy Link. (Not the "code", although that option can be used to embed the form on an HTML page in Jostle.)
- Click on Links in the Main Nav Panel of Jostle
- Click on the + and select Link
- Paste in the URL link to the form you copied.
- Give the Link a Name and select a Category
- Check Embed
- Click Save at the top
Once your Suggestion Box is embedded you can add extra prominence to it by making it one of the Custom Views in the Main Nav Panel.
Note: The data collected when people fill out the form go back to the form application (and not to Jostle). You will be able to track and analyzed your submissions there. And, if you set up the form appropriately, these suggestions can be autonomous.
