Once you have your platform set up and ready to go, you will want to start inviting the Users you wish to Activate.
Note, it's important:
- That the recipient's email is set up prior to triggering the Invite in Jostle.
- That jostle.me domain is on the "allow list" for your incoming email server. Your IT department will know how to do this.
Inviting Users in bulk
To Invite Users in bulk, a System Admin should:
- Go to Admin Settings > User Accounts and Data > Invite Users.
- Select which Users you would like to Activate. The section under Users is the list of available Users that can be Activated. Any Users moved to the right under Users to be Invited will receive an invitation email to Activate their Jostle Account after you click the Send Now button at the bottom of the screen.
Notes:
- You can filter the list of available Users by using the Filter by Groups drop down. You can choose things like location, people who have been invited but haven't activated their account yet, or people who haven't been invited yet.
- In a day or two, you may want to review which Users have actually Activated their Accounts (logged in). See here for how.
- At the bottom you can set the language the Invite Email will be sent with. This selection applies to all Users you have selected.
Invite in bulk by searching for Users or email domains
To Invite a User or group of users, a System Admin can:
- Go to Admin Settings > User Accounts and Data > Edit, Invite, Disable Users
- Enter all or part of the User's name in the available field and click Search List
- If there are matching Users available to Activate they will appear in the Users list below
- Move the Users you want to Invite to the Users to be Invited list
- Click Send Now
- On the right side of the screen, click the Send Invite button. When you're done on the Edit screen, click the Save changes button in the top right.
Inviting individual Users
To send an Invite to a specific User, a System Admin should:
- Go to Admin Settings > User Accounts and Data > Edit, Invite, Disable Users
- Enter all or part of the User's name in the available field and click Search
- Find the User and click EDIT
- Click Send Invite in the right hand panel (or Resend Invite if the user has been previously invited)
Tip: You can see a User's Invite Status near the top right on the Edit User page (go to Admin Settings > User Accounts and Data > Edit, Invite, Disable Users).
