Ideas to gather employee photos

Jostle's platform is people centric, so adding employee photos before launch is a must-do. Here are some tips on how to make this happen.

For organizations without employee photos:

Gathering employee photos can seem like a big task, but by incorporating this into your prelaunch activities you can build anticipation and excitement. Here are some ideas to help you get started:

  • Multiple locations a challenge? Find out if you have any hobby photographers internally and get them involved - coffee prepaid cards or lunch are great incentives!
  • Rent a photo booth for your launch party. Promote it as part of the lead up for your launch party.
  • Hire a professional photographer. Think about the look and feel you want for your employee photos.
  • Employee submissions. Send an email two weeks prior to launch requesting a profile picture from each employee. Inspire some competition by offering departments who get all their photos in a pizza lunch. Have some fun with this approach - again, another great way to generate awareness and buzz.

Regardless of your approach, gathering your contributor photos will help create a more engaging launch experience for your users.

Here's how to upload Profile photos, including the option of bulk loading them.

For organizations with employee photos:

Great, you're one step ahead! If you are concerned that they are slightly dated, or not 100% the 'feel' you were going for within Jostle, that's ok. Import what you have and plan an activity (see above ideas) during your launch to provide people with the opportunity to update their photo. Employees also have the option to update their Profile photo at anytime within Jostle.
