Active blocking of IP addresses

Active blocking of IP addresses from outside of Canada

Provincially funded organizations (ie. cities) in British Columbia and Nova Scotia are required to actively block access to employee personal data from access points that are outside Canada. Our technical team handles this requirement for you by automatically blocking access to your Jostle platform from any IP addresses that are not known to be in Canada, thereby ensuring your organization is in compliance.

NOTE—this will also block IP addresses that are inside Canada but not correctly configured to confirm their location.

Should you need more information on how Jostle's platform helps you manage this requirement, contact us at support@jostle.me.
