A green circle indicating that a User is online now is displayed on User Profile Photos (avatars) across most of the platform. To be deemed "online", a User must have Jostle open as the active tab in their browser or have the app open on their phone. This Online Now Indicator is always enabled and cannot be turned off.
The platform can display the current location of an online User on the left side of their User Profile.
To Enable/Disable the Location Indication, a System Admin should:
- Go to Admin Settings > User Profiles > User Status & Online Indication
- Next to Online Location Indication check Enabled or Disabled
- Click Save
Notes:
- Disabling the Location Indication does not disable the Online Now Indicator (green circle).
- Users can block their location from being detected via the privacy settings in their browser or phone.
