View States
Certain views and features can have their state toggled between Enabled, Disabled, and Staging.
Enabled
When a view or feature is Enabled it is fully functional for both users and admins.
Disabled
When a view or feature is Disabled it is not available for use in the platform. Disabled views do not appear on the Main Nav Panel. If you want to delay the configuration and launch of a particular view or feature, Disable it.
Staging
When a view is in the Staging state, its Enabled for System Admins and the admins of that view, and its Disabled for everyone else. Use this when you are ready to launch your platform, but need some extra time to build up the content available in a particular view before presenting it to all users.
To change the State of a view or feature
System admins can configure certain views and features by:
1. Going to Admin Settings > Views and Functions > Manage Views and Options
2. Toggle the settings for the views you want enabled, disabled, or set to staging
3. Scroll down and click Save
Note: The People view cannot be disabled and the Teams view can only be disabled if the Main Org Chart doesn't contain any real roles and all other Charts have been deleted.
Tip: The Manage Views and Options page is also where System Admins can rename Listings and Links views to custom names.
Trying out new views and features
Customers on our paid subscription plans are able to customize their platform with additional views and/or options. System Admins can request free trials of views not in their current package by going to Admin Settings > Views and Functions > Try Other Views and Options.
