How to search Discussions in Jostle

You participated in a chat. Information was shared. But you can't recall which where exactly that was. You don't have to resort to skimming through all of your Discussions to find it, you can just use Search to track it down instead.

How to search in Discussions

1. Click Search at the top of the Main Navigation
2. Type in the keyword or terms you're searching for and then hit Enter
3. To just see results from Discussions, click on the Discussions button
4. Select the result you are looking for and that Discussion will open right where the match occurs.

Note: Search results will be limited to show only Discussions you are a Member of (including all Discoverable Discussions).

How to only search Discussion Titles

Often you are not looking for a particular comment, but for a particular Discussion. In this case, you will want to narrow your search to just Discussion Titles by:

1. Click Search at the top of the Main Navigation
2. Type in the keyword or terms you're searching for and then hit Enter
3. Click on the Discussions button
4. Check the "Only search titles of Discussions" box
5. Select the result you are looking for and that Discussion with its most recent post visible.

How to search within a Discussion

Evergreen Discussions can get long and complicated, such that you sometime need to search within a single Discussion. Here's how:

1. Click Search at the top of the Main Navigation
2. Type in the keyword or terms you're searching for and then hit Enter
3. Click on the Discussions button
4. Check the "Only search titles of Discussions" box
5. Find the search result for the Discussion you are interested in
6. Click on the "Search all results in this Discussion" quick action icon on that result
7. The Search screen will update with just results from that Discussion.

Tip: Once at Step 7, you can modify and update your search keywords as you wish. Start by searching in the Discussion Title and then once you are at Step 7 get more specific.
